Applied AI

Enterprise AI has a last-mile problem

The hardest part is rarely the model. It is turning intelligence into a decision someone can confidently act on.

Most enterprise AI conversations begin with models, data and accuracy. The commercial outcome, however, depends on something less glamorous: whether the output can travel the final distance into a real decision.

A recommendation without context creates another analysis task. A prediction without evidence struggles to earn trust. And an insight that sits outside the team’s operating workflow is likely to become an interesting presentation rather than a changed action.

The unit of value is the decision

Companies should not measure AI only by the intelligence it produces. They should measure the time, confidence and coordination required to make the decision after that intelligence appears.

The next generation of enterprise products will need to connect evidence, reasoning, organisational context and action. That is what turns an AI feature into a genuine decision system.
